During this Unit, students will perform several experiments and create several models. Experiments and models are centered around the investigation of questions pertaining force and motion.
Focus Questions include:
What is the relationship between speed, velocity, and acceleration?
How does frictional force affect motion?
How does velocity of an object affect the frictional force between it and the surface with which it comes in contact?
What is the relationship between weight and frictional force?
Conceptual Themes addressed in this Unit:
- Properties of Matter
- Force and Motion
